Love and Sympathy - Friday Mashup #21

It's been a few days since I posted.  I've been going through a tough time.  First I had complications from my foot surgery.  An infection set in and has me generally feeling "blah".  Then I heard that the husband of a friend and a customer of mine had died.
So I took the opportunity today to use the 'bossy and sketchy' challenge here with the Friday Mashup to make a sympathy card and send it off to her.
What's the 'bossy and sketchy' about?  The 'sketchy' is to make a card using the sketch challenge; the 'bossy' means to include some dry embossing on the card.

Stamps: Love & Sympathy, Teeny Tiny wishes
Inks: Melon mambo, Basic black, SU Markers (Melon Mambo, Old Olive)
Papers: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Flirtatious Designer Paper
Accessories: Scallop border punch, Finial Press embossing folder, 1 3/4" circle punch, Circle die #2, Word Window punch, 5/8" white satin ribbon, Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon, Pearls, dazzling diamonds, dimensionals, doily from Flirtatious designer paper

So sorry to hear about your infection! I had surgery earlier in the summer and infection was one of my worst fears. Hopefully you are on the mend!

I am also very sorry to hear about your friends loss. You made a beautiful card and I am sure she really appreciates the thoughts.

Thank you for playing along with us at The Friday Mashup!

Hi Maria, there are times when you just need the therapy of some crafting and it seems like you're in one of those times.

I'm glad our Friday Mashup challenge provided you with some inspiration for the sad task of making your friend a sympathy card. You have done a beautiful card for her and I'm sure she will find comfort in your gesture.

Take care and I hope your foot heals quickly.
Cheers,

So sorry to hear you are having a rough time Maria, It's never fun to have to make Sympathy cards. I hope your foot is feeling better and they got that Infection under control. I'm glad you were able to get some stamping in to help take your mind off of the other stuff going on. Thanks for joining us at the Friday Mashup. Your card is so soft and pretty. Sorry I'm late making my rounds. We were without internet for a week because of the hurricane.
