Howling --- Sketch Frenzy Friday

Another Friday,and another Blog hop.
Below is this week's sketch created by Tammy Baldwin.

I loved this week's design.  It's simple, but you can do so much with it.  I thought I'd try something a little different today and create a unique background for a stamped image of a howling wolf - thus the title.

The base of the card is Not Quite Nave cut at 4 1/2 by 9" scored at 4 1/4".
The 4 3/8 by 4 3/8" piece of Whisper White layer was first texurized using Pattern 2 of the Perfect Details Texturz plate.  I then randomly sponged the surface with the following inks:  Not Quite Navy, Marina Mist, More Mustard, Rose Red, and Tangerine Tango.  I quite like the effect.  It reminds me of looking through a chain link fence at a gorgeous sunset.
The main focal image is Whisper White card stock 2 by 2".  The background was again sponged using the same color of inks as before.  But this time I went from darker on the outside to color in the middle.  The wolf was stamped using Basic Black ink, followed by the tree branches and grass from the same stamp set.  A 2 by 2" piece of Basic Black card stock was layered behind the focal image.  Both were placed at an angle.
I brought the same colors into the sentiment panel.  The sentiment is from Just Believe.  The brads - neutral.

Stamps: Nature Silhouettes, Just Believe
Inks: Basic black, Not Quite Navy, Marina Mist, More Mustard, Tangerine Tango, Rose Red
Papers: Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Basic Black
Accessories: Perfect Details Texturz Plate - pattern 2, black brads, Stampin dimensionals

I hope you enjoyed this card.  I had a lot of fun making it.
Now its your turn to make a card or project using the sketch challenge at the beginning of this post or from the Sketch Frenzy Friday home page.  Then upload your project on the homepage here.  I can't wait to see what you create!
To continue with the blog hop, hop on over to Patricia Herrara's blog here.  You'll be delighted by her creation, as Im sure you have been delighted by all the samples from the design team members.  Don't forget to leave a comment and let the team members know how much you liked their cards.
