Two Love Birds - Colour Q Challenge #84

This card wass inspired by the latest issue of    Stampin Success  (May 2012) pg. 13
My son and his girlfriend recently got engaged although the wedding isn't until next August.  I took this picture at Easter and decided to use it to make an easel card using the colors from the Colour Q here - Daffodil Delight, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Whisper white.  My future daughter-in-law loves animals etc of any sort and her house certainly has a menagerie of a variety of pets - 2 dogs (one of whom is blind since birth) 4 cats, fish etc.  She'd love to have birds, but with the cats its not a safe proposition.  So, I decided to put some birds on the card - 2 love birds.
You'll have to excuse my son - he doesn't like to smile for the camera.

Stamp: Word Play
Inks: Old Olive, Not Quite Navy, Daffodil Delight
Papers: Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Whisper white, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Small heart Punch embossed with Finial Press embossing folder, Boho Blossom Punch, Two Step Bird Punch, Vintage Brads, 5 Petal punch, 1/8" Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon, stampin dimensionals, Pinking Hearts border punch, Scallop border punch, Subltes designer button, Rhinestones, Dazzling diamonds, Decorative Label Punch, Beautiful Wings embosslit.

The Easel is now open.  The picture had to be taken side-ways as there was glare coming off the picture.

Close up of the sentiment and embellishments.  This sentiment is especially appropriate as they had both waited for each other until the time was right - and the wait was so worth it.

He gave her my engagement ring - which she got reset.  The gesture really meant a lot to her, and she has asked me to help her plan the wedding.  Of course I accepted - so wedding invitations in the future.

I'm happy that these two love birds found each other.
