Elements of Style - Faux Pearl Technique - Creative Sketches

This is my card for Creative Sketches here. for which I learned a new technique - the faux pearl technique.

I first stamped the image from "Elements of Style" with Black Stazon ink onto white shimmer paper. It was colored in with markers after which parts of  the image were daubed with  Frost White Shimmer Paint using a crumpled piece of plastic wrap. After the paint was dry, the focal point was sponged first with River Rock , and then Crumb Cake ink. Rub the image with a dry towel to bring back the shimmer.  The card stock will retain the ink color, but the shimmer paint resists it.

Stamp: Elements of Style
Inks: Black Stazon, River Rock, Crumb Cake, Rose Red
Markers: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight
Papers: Rose Red, Very Vanilla, Springtime Vintage Designer Paper,
Accessories: Top Note Die, 1" circle punch, pearls, 1/2" Blushing Bride Stitched-Poly Ribbon, Dimensionals, Shimmer Paint (Frost White), Sticky Pages.
