Japanese Anemone

I couldn't resist creating another flower.  With all the snow and cold weather outside, my mind has been wandering more and more to my garden, and warmer weather.  I overwinter geraniums, so every morning when I turn the lights on over their trays I am reminded of summer. Some of my geraniums are 9 years old.
Another one of my favourite flowers n my garden is the Japanese Anemone.  The plant itself can be a bit of a pest because it is an aggressive spreader - but when you see the flower all is forgiven.  The delicate pink flower is at the end of a long fragile looking stem, so they end up poking their heads up between and above other perennials.  I have a cluster of them at one end of my garden
Stamps:  Build a Blossom, So Happy for You (SAB)
Inks:  Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso, Melon Mambo, Always Artichoke
Papers: Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Ice Cream Parlor Deligner Paper (SAB)
Accessories: Blossoms Petal Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, 3/4" round circle Punch, Itty Bitty Floral Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Polka Dot embossing folder, Paper Crimper, Ice Cream Parlor ribbon, Stampin Dimensionals, Framed Tulips Embossing Folder

The Petals were stamped with Pretty in Pink on Pretty in Pink Paper,  After punching them out, the petals were sponged with Melon Mambo and mounted on a 3/4" circle.
The centre of the flower is one of Boho blossoms petals punched in daffodil delight and sponged with Melon Mambo. I made a small cut between every 2nd petal and then turned them up using a bone folder.
On top of that is an olive green flower punched with the floral itty bitty punch.  Again I sponged the edges with melon mambo, and made a small slit between the petals and turned the edges up.
The middle of the flower was attached to the main blossom using a stampin dimensional.
The leaves were made by punching out the leaf shape of the Blossoms Petal Punch, folding them in half and running them through the crimper.  The edges were sponged with Always Artichoke.  The actual leaf of a Japanese Anemone resembles a maple leaf more but I found that difficult to reproduce.  I just cut a small sliver of old olive cardstock for the stem.

Boy are you so crafty! I am really enjoying all the different flowers you are making with this punch and stamp set. I think I am about sold on it.
