Bootiful Occasions - Happy Boot day - a Shaker Card

Unfortunately, "Bootiful Occasions" is another stamp set that is retiring, as is the DSP (Flower Pot) that I used on the front and the champagne glimmer paper.
This card is a partial case of a similar card I saw on Pinterest.

The base of the card is Lost Lagoon, an in colour that is staying for another year.  That is layered with Whisper White, whose edges are sponged with Lost Lagoon ink.

The shaker element was made using Fun Foam.  Because it is a sheet almost the size of the DSP, the card feels solid.  The DSP measures 3 1/2 by 5; the Fun Foam 3 1/8 by 4 7/8 (just slightly smaller.

Holding the DSP and the Fun Foam together, a square framelit is used to die cut a square hole in the upper third.  A piece of window sheet is adhered to the backside of the DSP.

On a separate piece of Whisper white, the sentiment "Kick up Your Heels" was inked with a Lost Lagoon marker and stamped in the middle.  A couple of champagne glimmer hearts was also adhered above and below the sentiment, as was an "in colour" sequin.

Along with some more champagne starts, some more in colour sequins became the shaker elements.  Some adhesive was added to the wrong side of the DSP and attached to the Fun Foam.  Both were adhered to the card at an angle.

A frame was made using the other side of the DSP using 2 sizes of the square framelits; another frame was made using the champagne glimmer paper. The DSP frame was adhered around the shaker element; the glimmer frame at an angle over the other frame.

The boots were stamped with Stazon ink, and coloured using an ink pad and an Aqua brush.  The stars were embossed with gold embossing powder.  Both boots were cut out, the edges sponged with Lost Lagoon ink, and mounted onto the card using dimensionals.

The sentiment, stamped in Lost Lagoon, was punched using the small oval punch and mounted onto the card with a dimensional.  A star was adhered to the top left.

Jolly Jingle Bits Christmas - Sketch Frenzy Friday

Another hot week in Southern Ontario.  But we were blessed with a bit of rain.  Despite that forest fires are starting in cottage country threatening some of the most beautiful parts of the province.
Market was quiet this week.  It's been too hot for people to leave their cottages, pools etc. The highlight of the market was a conversation I had with a demonstrator from Houston, Tx.  Hope we can stay in contact.
It's amazing how quickly the week passes.  It's Friday already, and time for a mini blog hop with Sketch Frenzy Friday.  Hope you can join us.
Today's sketch is by the very creative Patrice Herrera:
