A Peacock - We Love Stamping - Bird

The April challenge with Welovestamping is Anything stamped with the option of a real Bird or Animal. I chose to stamp a Peacock.

The card is rather a large one so I will have to make an envelope to fit. It is a 6 by 6” card with a Basic Whit base.

The peacock is added to a 4 by 4” piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock embossed with a bead and bauble embossing folder. This is matted with Dark Blue foil.

The peacock was stamped using Pretty Peacock ink. Some extra colour was applied to the body ( Coastal Cabana) and Pear Pizzazz. Some Coastal Cabana ink was also applied to the centre of each (eye) of the feathers. The bird was die cut using the corresponding Royal peacock die. It was added to the embossed front piece using dimensionals.

Three extra feathers were die cut in Pretty Peacock card stock and added under the die cut stamped peacock.

The sentiment , stamped with Pretty Peacock ink, was trimmed and added to the card front using dimensionals.

To finish the card, I added small blue rhinestones to the eyes on the tail feathers

Supplies Used:

Stamp:  Royal Peacock

Inks: Pretty Peacock, Coastal Cabana, Pear Pizzazz

Papers: Pretty Peacock, Basic White, Pear Pizzazz, Dark Blue foil

Accessories: Bead And Bauble embossing folder, Royal Peacock dies, blue rhinestones, Dimensionals

It's a super Peacock and the embossing folder compliments it perfectly. Interesting to read 6x6 is large in Canada, over here it's pretty standard and 8x8 not unusual.

Many thanks for joining us at We Love Stamping April challenge and for using the Animals/Bird option.

This is beautiful, love the Peacock, yes I always feel I have made a fairly small card if it is a 6 x 6. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely creation with us at We Love Stamping.
