Floating Gatefold with Counting Sheep - another sneak peak

Today's sneak peak also involves the Counting Sheep SAB stamp set but in a Fun Fold setting. I am fond of doing fun folds and I look forward to creating folds in cards whenever I can.

The fold today is called "Floating Gatefold", not that the Gatefold card is floating, but the art pieces inside appear to "float" when the card is opened.

Above is the front of the Gatefold card.  Looks pretty normal right? It's when the card is opened that the magic happens.

See how the sheep seem to float  above their fence.
The secret is a small mechanism adhered to the inside card bottom and flap.  You can see a bit peeking out from the top image.

Let's go back to the front and look at the close up of the art piece there.

This sheep as well as the other sheep, were stamped and coloured on another piece of Basic White, then die cut. This sheepr was then adhered to a background create with a blender brush, using only the ink left on the brush. The grass was stamped with Pear Pizzazz ink.
The art piece was matted first with Smokey Slate followed by Basic Gray card stock. These layers were adhered to the left side of the Gate fold card using dimensionals.  The dimensionals were applied in such a way as to allow the ribbon holding the card together to slide easily under the art piece and around the card.

The DSP on the front is from "Peaceful Place" some new Christmas DSP in the mini catalogue about to premiere. It is matted with Basic White before being added to the panels on the front.

Now back to the inside-----

What makes the gatefold card float?  The illusion of floating is facilitated by 2 strips of card stock 1 by 5 /4" scored at 1, 2, and 4 1/4".   Apply adhesive  on the 1" section and adhere it  to the inside panel with the edged on the fold line.  Then fold the strip in half, apply adhesive on the other end and close the card.
Each art piece is added to the 2 1/4" section.

Below is a close up of the mechanism...

Before adding the mechanism, the inside of the card needs to be completed.  After adding the Basic White piece, the die cut fence was added, as well as 2 die cut clouds with the sun peeking out from behind one of them.  A sentiment is stamped below the fence.
