Sparkly Wreath - Hand Stamped Sentiments #328

Challenge #328 at Hand Stamped Sentiments is an Inspirational Challenge.  I always love doing these but they're not always easy.  There is a wide variety of interpretations and it took me a while to settle in on one of them. I settled on the wreath, but I wanted to incorporate elements from the other parts of the picture as well.

  • An 8 1/2 by 5  1/2" Call Me Glover base card is folded at the 4 1/4" score line  to form an A2 card.
  • Emboss a piece of Whisper White with the Many Petal s Embossing folder.

  • Three trees are punched from the Wrapped in Plaid DSP using the Pine Tree punch and adhered along the one of the long edge of the embossed Whisper White piece, one on top of the other.

  • Fussy cut along the shape of the trees ,
  • Adhere a 1" strip of DSP along the edge of the card base, and adhere the Whisper White layer to the card base.with the cut trees on top of the adhered DSP
  • Adhere a strip of Wrapped in Plaid DSP notched at one end with the triple layer punch.
  • On a separate piece of Whisper White stamp a wreath (stamp from Frog's Whiskers) using Call Me Clover ink. Using a dot stamp from         stamp randomly around wreath with Versa Mark and emboss with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder (retired)

  • Fussy cut around wreath
  • Add wreath to adhesive sheet and apply dazzling diamonds.
  • Sponge edges with Call Me Clover ink and adhere to card front using dimensionals. and add a 1/8" satin Real Red Ribbon to base of wreath.
  • Add red glitter randomly around the wreath and on the trees along the edge of the card.
  • Finish by adding red rhinestones randomly to front.
