Vintage Best Catch - Paper Craft Crew Challenges #342

The challenge at the Paper Craft Crew Challenges is a Tic Tac Toe one.  I chose to make a Vintage Masculine card featuring one of my favourite colours:  Mossy Meadow.

Tic Tac Toe Papercraft Challenge

Making a vintage card involves the use of neutral colours, sponging, distressing edges with a pair of scissors,  and tearing - all of which I did on this masculine card to make it look vintage.

The base card is Soft Suede.  On top of this I adhered a strip of DSP from Come Sail Away DSP, the top of which is torn. To the left of that and slightly overlapping this DSP is a piece of Soft Sea Green Card stock with the edges torn all the way around. Both pieces are sponged generously using Early Espresso ink.

Layered on the Soft Sea Green card stock is a well torn and distressed piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  Using Early Espresso ink, dots are randomly stamped using a retired Timeless Texture stamp followed by the image of the fisherman and the fishing hook.  A small amount of Pear Pizzazz is added to both these images.

On a separate piece of Very Vanilla card stock the fish is stamped, some colour applied then die cut.  After the edges are sponged the fish is adhered to the card front using dimensionals.

The bullrushes are die cut in Mossy Meadow, sponged with Early Espresso and adhered to the lower right.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Best Catch, Timeless Textures (R)
Inks:  Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Papers:  Soft Suede, Come Sail Away DSP, Soft Sea Green card stock, Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow
Accessories:  Catch of the Day dies, Dimensionals
