Trifold Birthday Card

Have you ever had this happen to you?  You see a card in a store, you really like it, and you know you can make this card using Stampin' Up products.

This card had a special fold, so it took me a while searching Pinterest and You Tube to find the exact fold I was looking for.  I finally found several versions of what was referred to as the Trifold card.  Thi is my version.

The card is made using a 12 by 12" piece of Whisper White card stock, which ends up making 4
 of these cards

Score the 12 by 12 card stock at 4 and 8"; Turn  and cut the card stock at the 6" mark (cutting the paper in half). Each half makes 2 cards.

Take one of  the halves and put the other aside.

With the 6" side facing up, measure 1" in from the left outside edge of the top and make a small pencil mark.  Do the same at the bottom, making a mark 1" in from the right outside lower edge

Line up both marks on the trimmer (at an angle) and cut into 2 pieces..

Decorating:

Taking a 12 by 12" piece of Sweet Soiree DSP I trimmed off 1/8" from each end , and using the above directions I made a "liner" trifold - and adhered it to  the Whisper White base.

The back of the card with stamped with the Distressed Dot background stamp using Marina Mist ink.

The trim on the top was made by punching Blushing Bride card stock using the Decorative Edge punch,

Decoration on the inside was done using the Sweet Soiree Memories & more card pack as well as images from Color Me Happy coloured with Stampin' Blendabilities. Close up pictures are below.
