The Old Rugged Cross...

Tonight I made my first Easter card, a nice change from making Valentine cards. I chose the soft colours that are in the Falling in Love DSP.

The cross and palm branches are symbolic of Easter.

The focal images were stamped with Black Memento ink and die cut with the layering oval framelits. It was coloured with blender pen and ink pads, using various strengths of Soft Suede ink. Smoky Slate was used to color the draping robe.

The image piece was adhered to a banner made of Falling in Love DSP.

Some 3/8" Whisper White cotton ribbon was attached to the lower part of this banner, and a bow made with this ribbon

Three palm fronds were stamped and coloured on a separate piece of Whisper White and then cut out.  This task was a bit tedious, but well worth it.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Easter Message
Inks:  Soft Suede, Always Artichoke, Smoky Slate, Black Memento
Papers: Soft Sky, Whisper White, Falling in Love DSP
Accessories: Sparkling embossing folder, Layering Oval framelits, 3/8" Whisper White cotton ribbon, corner rounder punch, dimensionals, metal rimmed pearls
