Swallowtail Friend - Sketch Frenzy Friday

Today is Friday, and as you are reading this I am having more surgery on my left knee.  Nothing major - just a scope, but I've been waiting a long time for this.  I have had nothing but trouble since my knee replacement last March, and I'm hoping the doctors will be able to fix whatever the problem is.

It's also time for Sketch Frenzy Friday.  Today's sketch is by Robbie

04/05/13 Robbie

This A2 card had a Daffodil Delight base, layered with Very Vanilla embossed with the Honeycomb folder.
I next took a piece of Pacific Point stitched ribbon, put it through a ribbon slider, and attached it to the bottom of the embossed Very Vanilla layer.
I then punched a Pacific Point blue 1 3/4" scallop circle, placed a 1 3/8" Daffodil Delight circle on top of that, followed by the sentiment, which was punched with a 1 1/4" circle punch.  Dimensionals were placed between the Daffodil Delight circle and the Scalloped Pacific Point circle.  A butterfly was stamped using the Papillion Potpourri stamp set, punched it out with the small butterfly punch, and attached it to the top of the sentiment.  A string of rhinestones were placed under the sentiment.

The image of the Swallowtail was stamped with black Stazon on Whisper White cardstock, and coloured with markers.  It was then cut out and glued at an angle on top of the embossed Very Vanilla.  The parts of the Swallowtail that extended over the edges of the card were cut off.

Here's a summary of the materials used:

Stamps: Swallowtail, Papillion Potpourri, Friendly Phrases
Inks: Black Stazon, Su markers (So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Basic Gray)
Papers: Daffodil Delight, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Pacific Point
Accessories: Honeycomb folder, 1 3/4" scallop circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1/4" stitched Pacific Point ribbon, Ribbon slider, Small butterfly punch, rhinestones, dimensionals, glue dots.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Oh My Goodness Beautiful!. What a clever idea to use the Butterfly as the focal image! Now this is how to interpret a sketch. I will remember this when I need a show stopper.
