The last few days have been busy with cleaning and organizing as I will be away from home for a while after my surgery on March 9.
Today, after washing kitchen cupboards I thought I'd take a break and make a card for the Stamping 411 Sketch challenge here
Here is the challenge:
My card:
As you can see I took a liberty with the sketch. At the bottom I put a strip of scallop border as I had inadvertently cut the designer paper too short and did not have any more. So rather than waste the paper, or submit a card with an obvious flaw, I added the scallop border.
The focal image is made by converting eight 1 1/4" circles into dahlia folds I used the Splitcoaststamper tutorial here
There is also a You Tube video for those who are visual learners. You can find it here
The Boho blossom punch was used for the center flower, and all held together with an antique brad.
The flower unit was mounted on a 2 1/2" circle punched with the 2 1/2" circle punch. It was large enough so the scallop circle punch was used to create scallops around the circle. If anyone would like to know how to do that indicate so in your comments and I will do a tutorial.
Stamps: Field flowers
Inks: Soft Suede
Papers: Calyspso coral, Soft Suede, Whisper White, Everyday Enchantment designer series paper
Accessories: Scallop border punch, Scallop circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, Boho blossom punch, 3/8" Calypso coral ruffle ribbon, 1 3/8" square punch, pearls, Antique brad, dimensionals
