What a wonderful tribute from a very talented designer and what a wonderful way to end the year.
Thank you very much. Take a moment to check out the blog of this very creative individual.
This is the second time I have been given this award. Previously it had been awarded by Wendy Hawkinson but I have not had the time to respond. Thank you Wendy as well.
There are some requirements that I must fulfill having accepted this award. Firstly, I must share 7 things about myself and secondly, pass this award onto 15 other bloggers.
Seven Things About Myself:
1. I am a retired College Teacher. For 35 years I taught Nursing, Ambulance Attendants, & Massage Therapists both in the classroom and in various hospitals.
2. My 3 children - 1 girl and 2 boys - are now grown. When they were very little I divorced my husband and raised these 3 by myself - a daunting task one I wouldn't recommend for anyone unless it was absolutely necessary.
3. It wasn't until 5 years into my retirement that I started making cards. I had no idea I had a creative bone in my body! Nor had I ever "blogged": Didn't even know what a blog was. I hadn't been on the computer much either as they were just being installed into our offices just prior to my leaving. Which makes this award such a pleasant surprise!
4. I live in southern Ontario, Canada - have lived in this part of the country ever since emigrating from Holland at the age of 6. Those early days in Canada were pretty tough. I was even kicked out of school because I couldn't speak English!
5. Hobbies include: gardening (am known as the plant lady in my neighbourhood), reading (volunteer at the local library), walking (when I can which I can't right know due to a post surgical foot and pending knee replacement) and of course, anything to do with paper crafting. I have plant sales every spring.
6. For 5 years I have sold my cards etc at local Farmer's markets and craft shows and am doing very well. Here I am known as "the card lady"
7. I have 3 grandchildren (human) and 3 grand puppies - one of whom is blind. To them I am Grandma V
Now, to pass the award onto 15 blogs. There are so many wonderful blogs out there it was hard to narrow it down to 15. Here they are.
