I Dig You - A birthday card - Try Stampin' on Tuesday #47

I'm catching up making birthday cards for the next 2 months.  My eldest grandson has a birthday coming up early in February.  Can't believe he's going to be 6.  Where does the time go?
My grandson loves anything on wheels.  I think he was born with a matchbox car in his fist and hasn't let any of them go to this day, although he has expanded his network of motor vehicles to include trucks and construction vehicles.
When he was two, he used to spend hours lining up his match box cards rhyming off the names of the person who gave each one of them to him. His memory was - and continues to be - phenomental!!
So, for this birthday, I had to make him a card with some sort of vehicle on it and to do so I used the sketch challenge with Try Stampin' on Tuesday here

Stamp: I Dig You
Inks: Pacific Point, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Markers (Chocolate Chip, Basic Gray, More Mustard, Basic black)
Papers: Pacific Point, Whisper White, Pacific Point designer paper
Accessories: Crystal Effects, 1/4" White grosrain ribbon, dimensionals

The image was stamped 4 times, each with a different color of ink.  Each piece was then cut out in a different color and reassembled on a piece of Whisper White card stock.  The images of the stuffed animals were colored with markers cut out and assembled on the vehicle. After this was finished, I cut the entire image out and placed it on another piece of Whisper White which was matted with Pacific Point.
Crystal Effects was applied to the cab, body and plow and the middle of the wheels.

The background paper was made by randomly stamping two of the other stamps from the I Dig You stamp set using Pacific Point ink on Whisper White card stock.  The edges were sponged with Pacific Point to make this layer stand out from the Whisper White layer.
