It's Friday and time for another mini blog hop with SFF. It's also Remembrance Day in Canada, and for some it's a holiday. So Happy Remembrance Day/Veterans Day in the USA.
This week I though I would try a different technique- one that was written up in this month's Success Magazine (November 2011) - "Double the embossing 'wow'" The article talked about using emboss resist on designer paper, but I did a twist on that - I just embossed on the designer paper using white embossing powder.
This week's sketch is by Angela Waters
Stamp: Merry & Type
Inks: Early Espresso
Paper: Base is Early Espresso. The next layer is Riding Hood Red, followed by Letters to Santa designer Paper. This paper was embossed with the image from the stamp set - in white embossing powder. Other papers: Whisper White, Old Olive,
Accessories: Scallop Square duo die, Scallop border punch, Scallop dotted Old Olive ribbon, Riding Hood Red button, mini jingle bells, glue dots, stampin dimensionals.
Below is a picture showing the embossing on the designer paper.
Below is a close up of the embellishment:
Now I'm anxious to see how you interpreted the sketch. Once you have finished your project upload it to the Sketch Frenzy homepage here
Then head over to Patrice's blog here
Also, hop on over to the blogs of the other team members. You should see a lot of creatitvity. The names and blog addresses are in the sidebar of this blog.
Enjoy your self and I'll see you next week.
