This sketch challenge, by Technostamper here provided me with the perfect opportunity to try making a flower with the Decorative Label Punch. I saw the template on this video here- and have been wanting to make it ever since.
Hope you enjoy this card.
Stamp: So Happy for You
Inks: Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Basic Black
Papers: Melon Mambo, Ice Cream Parlor Designer Paper, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Top Note Die, Pinking Hearts Border Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Vintage Brad, Small Oval Punch, 1/8" daffodil delight taffeta ribbon, Daffodil Delight Pompom Trim, 3/4" circle punch.
Flower: Using the decorative label punch, punch out 7 labels. Cut each in half, then from a midpoint on the cut line, cut a diagonal line to just before the outer curve of the label, on both sides. I cut one and use it as a template for the others. With a scoring tool, score down the middle and between the scallops at the outer edges - from the top to the bottom.
Sponge edges with Early Espresso.
Fold each in the middle with the inked side up- then fold the outer fold lines toward the center.
Attach to a 3/4" round circle to which tombo glue has been applied.
When dry, pierce a hole in the middle and insert a vintage brad.
Hope this is as clear as mud.
