I was approached by one of my clients yesterday to make a special birthday card for her daughter-in-law who was having a birthday in early April. The timing is special as she is also expecting her first baby - one she never expected to have as she was told there would never be one.
The information about this lady was that she liked beige, orange and a bit of black and liked cards very simple.
My client wanted her to be able to put the card on the mantle.
So, I made this easel card. Did I meet this challenge?
Card stock: Barely beige, dusty durango, very vanilla
Designer paper: orange pattern
Stamps: Awash with flowers, Kind and Caring Thoughts, Well Scripted
Ornament punch was made into vase. A bit of black taffeta ribbon was tied at neck of vase.
Inks: Dursty Durango, green galore, basic black
Other: Finial press impression folder (for vase), chunky essentials (black), 1/2 pearls from pretties kit, Photo corners punch, black brads., new edge punch
This is card No. 1
This is card No. 2.
Similar colour scheme, but not as stark. Stamp set used: Fifth Avenue Floral.
Which card would you recommend? No. 1, or No. 2

They are both very pretty. But I would choose # 2 because I love that stamp set.

Both are lovely cards, but No. 2 is my choice.
#2 is my choice also. I love the look of it. I would say you more than met the challenge.
