From within - a poem about butterflies

This week we have all made cards with a butterfly theme.  When I came across this poem I had to share it with you.

From Within

Trapped in its cocoon,
the only life it knows;
the Chrysalis state
Blissfully unaware

Of imminent changes looming within
Stretching, reaching,
Bursting into the unknown
Fear, panic, bewilderment
Awe, mystery, splendour
Panoramic view.
New perspective.
The old made new
The wrong made right.
Often we hold on
Before letting go,
And we hurt
Before we grow.
We look within
To find our way out.
We shed cocoons and heal
From the inside out.
All beauty is first a seed;
Every cure is first a need.
Victory!
Another butterfly freed.

...Author unknown

With all the butterfly cards made this week, a lot of butterflies have been freed - a lot of healing taking place.  Is that why butterflies mean so much to us?

Thank you for sharing this poem; it's so true, too & we tend to forget the little things
