A box that is not a box - blogger challenge - bags or boxes
This looks like a box but is actually a picture album, holding up to 50 wallet sized photos - a great gift for a special event.
Take the lid off the box and the box opens up like a flower - thus the term "blooming box"
It has 5 layers, although you can make it with 4, and each layer can be decorated any way you like.
The box is made using origami folds.
Here the box is open - the lid is beside it. One nice feature of this album is that once the pictures are inside, it can be folded up and placed on the coffee table or as a decorative piece on the shelf.
Here you can clearly see the layers.
It's a bit time consuming to make - and costly because it takes 6 (12 by 12 )sheets of cardstock
The nicest part is decorating the lid.
