St. Patrick's Day Wine Tag - Challenge 158 LNS Group

This is my morning to make wine tags for the craft show this weekend.  I've already made Valentine Day ones, general ones, and now I needed one for St. Patrick's Day - so I used challenge 158 with the LNS group i.e. to use the colors black, white, and another color.  The other color I chose was Garden Green - for the shamrock of course.

The same dimensions were used as in the previous post:  8 1/4 by 2 1/2" scored at 2 7/8", with a 1 3/8" circle punched in the top to accommodate the neck of the wine bottle.

Stamps: I (Heart) Hearts, Teeny Tiny wishes
Inks: Garden Green marker, Versa Mark
Papers: Basic Black, Whisper White, Garden Green
Accessories: Houndstooth embossing folder, 3/8" Basic black taffeta ribbon, 1 3/4 by 7/8" oval punch, Modern word label punch, rhinestones, 1 3/8" circle punch

Valentine Wine Tag

Valentine's Day is considered one of the most romantic days of the year, and many couples get engaged on this day.  Roses, chocolates, and a bottle of wine all help to set the mood.  My contribution -- a tag for the bottle of wine ---(or soft drink, water etc)

The tag  is 8 1/4 by 2 1/2" scored at 2 7/8".  A 1 3/8" circle is punched in the top section and this fits neatly over the neck of the wine bottle.

Stamp: P.S. I Love You
Inks: Real Red, Basic black
Papers: Real Red, Whisper White inlaid with Real Red hearts, Red Glimmer Paper, Basic Black
Accessories: 1 3/8" circle punch, Modern Word Label Punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, Heart to Heart punch, Square lattice embossing folder, 3/8" basic black taffeta ribbon, pearls

Wine label & Coordinating Wine Glass Identifiers with charms

This is another type of wine glass identifier - one made with circular punches and  with a different charm attached to each one.  The charms I obtained at a local Arts & Crafts warehouse.
The wine glass identifiers were made to coordinate with a seasonal wine label.
Wine Label:
See this post: http://craftymariasstampingworld.blogspot.com/2011/08/wine-tag-inkspirations-colour-challenge.html where I made a wine label for a colour challenge.
1.  Score a 2 1/2 by 8 3/4" piece of card stock at 2 7/8"
2.  Punch a hole in top section with a 1 3/8" circle punch
3.  Decorate bottom portion as desired.

Stamp: Vintage Labels (retired)
Inks: Early Espresso
Papers: Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Paper
Accessories: cherry Cobbler satin quilted ribbon, 1 3/8" circle punch, Scallop circle punch, Pewter embossing powder
Coordinating Wine Glass Identifier:
1.  Punch a 1" circle in Chocolate chip card stock.
2.  Center a Scallop circle punch over the 1" circle and punch . You are left with a scallop circle with a 1" hole in the center
3.  Do the same for designer paper - punch the 1" circle hole first, but this time use a 1 1/4" circle punch to make the second punch.
4.  Punch out a 1 3/4" circle in Cherry Cobbler

Attach the designer paper circle over the Chocolate chip card stock matching the center circles
Attach this to the Cherry Cobbler circle.
With a pair of scissors, make a cut from the outside to the inside circle.  This is how the identifier is put on the wine glass.
With the crop-0-dile, punch a small circle at the opposite end of the slit.
Insert a small jewellry connector to the charm and then attach the connector to the wine identifier.  This is the hardest and most tedious part. Below you see a single one and then the six I made.  Each identifier has a different charm attached.

Wine Tag - Inkspirations colour Challenge #84 & Challenge 136

A friend of mine found this old bottle at a garage sale and bought it for me (for less than a dollar) as she knew I was from Holland and would appreciate it.   It is made of some sort of metal and has the word "Amsterdam" engraved in the top.  The original paper labels are also attached.
For this colour challenge (concord crush, daffodil delight, tangerine tango, whisper white) I thought I would make a tag for this bottle.  It also meets the criteria for challenge 136 with the LNS group- tearing.
My intention is to make more labels to sell at my craft show on the 17th & 18th of Sept.

I started out by cutting a piece of concord crush card stock 2 1/2 by 8 1/4" and scored it at 2 7/8".  I punched a hole for the bottle top using a 1 3/8" circle punch.

On the main part of the tag, I first layered Beyond the Garden designer paper on top of daffodil delight, and tore the top before adhering it to the tag.  A piece of concord crush ribbon was tied around the bottom.
With Versa Mark ink, I stamped an image of a key from Artistic Etchings on a piece of Whisper White card stock, and embossed it with the new Pewter embossing powder.  I tore the side of this piece and attached it to concord crush card stock.
The sentiments were also embossed with the pewter embossing powder.  The best wishes was punched with the 1 3/4 by 7/8" oval punch and adhered sideways beside the key.

This tag would be a great addition to a bottle of wine brought to a Thanksgiving dinner - or a dinner for any occasion.  Just change the sentiment.

A close up of the tag attached to the bottle

Here is a picture of the bottle.  It's rather a dark picture, but you can see how old it is.
