Hearts Come Home - A U Fold Card

If you can go by the number of U-Fold Box cards  posted on Pinterest, this is a very popular card fold.  I have made a card using this fold before, so I referred back  the tutorial I used then, one done by Ink Responsibly here.
I did make some modifications for the card I made using the "Hearts Come Home" with its coordinating Edgelits "Hometown Greetings Edgelits" as I wanted it to fit into an A2 card.

The Night of Navy card base was scored so that it looked like a U box.  The tutorial  I accessed explains this very well.
I did stray away from the tutorial to design the middle of the card.  Like a box card, which uses inserts, I used inserts to layer the various die cut panels. Below you can see the inserts.

Before adding the inserts in the middle I stamped the moon and the stars with Whisper White ink.

For the first layer, the house edgelets were used; below that the Church layer.

The final layer was die cut into the band that extends across the bottom of the entire card, scoring this band to match the scoring of the card base.

The sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy ink on Whisper White card stock, matted with Night of  Navy card stock and adhered to the front panel.

After the card was finished I decided to add Dazzling Diamonds to the various levels.  Perhaps if I make this card again I will use Dazzling Diamond glimmer paper to construct this card.

The card folds to fit into a standard A2 envelope.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Hearts Come Home
Inks:  Whisper White, Night of Navy
Papers:  Night of Navy, Thick Whisper White,

U Fold Box Cards

I made these unique card folds for the challenge with the Canadian Die Exchange group.  I have never made one of these before so I used the video tutorial here

This card has what looks like a table in the middle, but it is actually a flap that folds up to allow the card to fold flat.

The base of this card is Sahara Sand.  The panels are lined with a retired DSP.
A double layer of doillies is added to the center flap that looks like a table but folds up allowing the card to fold flat,
Some tiny pink roses are added to the sentiment panel and cascades down the front.
The mirrors are made by die cutting silver foil paper using the stitched framelits and matting them with Sahara Sand cardstock.
The feet of the dresser were made using he Lots of Labels framelits.

Below is another one I made using a Halloween theme

Side View

Center flap up and card folded flat.

The card base is Basic Black, and on the various panels retired DSP (Halloween) was added.
One of the colours is very similar to the new Lemon Lime Twist.

This fold has a flap in the center that opens and closes.  I added a spider web doillie to the top of the DSP on that flap and at the base of the flap is a pumpkin which was cut out and adhered to an oval stitched framelit.  A scary ghost is adhered hovering above it.

On the left panel is a scare crow coloured with copic markers, cut out and adhered with dimensionals, to a Whisper White stitched oval matted with a slightly larger black oval. The Whisper White oval was stamped with the Timeless Texture "dot" stamp.

On the right side a sheath of wheat was also colored, and die cut with the oval stitched framelit.  Again some background dots were stamped.
