Best of Butterflies Anniversary - Technostamper Challenge #259

What a gorgeous day it was today.  I almost expected to see the flowers blooming and the butterflies flitting overhead.  But, of course, I didn't see that, so I created a card with butterflies on it.
This card is for the Technostamper Challenge here

I started with a Primrose Petal card stock base, which was layered with Whisper White card stock, then a layer of 2 patterns of the Birds of a Feather DSP.  A stitched satin ribbon in Primrose Petals was placed over the seam of the 2 DSP.

To create the focal image, I first stamped an image from Everything Eleanor in Crumb Cake - stamping off once so as not to make the colour too strong.  This I cut out.
The butterflies were stamped using the rock and roll technique - with Primrose Petals and Island Indigo inks.  They were cut out, and attached to the cut-out Crumb Cake piece using glue dots.  A strip of 4 rhinestones were attached to their bodies.

This unit was attached to the DSP using dimensionals.

For the embellishments at the top right of the card, using an Itty Bitty Punch, I punched out 3 Primrose Petals flowers.  These were attached to Itty Bitty buttons with glue dots, and a rhinestone was attached to the top of each button.

Here's a list of materials and supplies used:

Stamps: Best of Butterflies, Everything Eleanor, A Word for You
Inks: Crumb Cake, Primrose Petals, Island Indigo
Papers: Primrose Petals, Whisper White, Bird of a Feather DSP
Accessories: 1/4" stitched satin Primrose Petals ribbon, Itty Bitty flower punch, Itty Bitty buttons, rhinestones, dimensionals, glue dots.

Hope you enjoyed the card.  Thanks for stopping by.

Thanksgiving Thank you - Paper Pal Arts #141

Although it is still August, the feel of fall is in the air.  Thanksgiving will be upon us before we know it.  So, I'm getting a head start...
To make this card, I used the sketch challenge with Paper Pal Arts here

Technique:
Image:  The Rock and Roll technique was used using the colors More Mustard and Cajun Craze. It was then cut out and the edges sponged with Cajun Craze. A second image was stamped with Cajun Craze and the middle flower was cut out, the edges of which were sponged and then it was attached to the center of the image with a dimensional.  A rhinestone in the center completed the image.
Background for Image:  The edges of the Very Vanilla panel were stamped a smaller image from the stamp set using Old Olive ink.  The entire panel was then embossed with the Square lattice folder.
The completed image was attached to the prepared panel with dimensionals.
Sentiment: After stamping with Cajun Craze ink the image was die cut with Bitty Banners framelit, the edges sponged, and attached to the image under the cut out flower.

Stamps: Day of Gratitude, Itty Bitty Banners
Inks: More Mustard, Cajun Craze
Papers: Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, Retired SU designer paper
Accessories: Bitty Banners framelit, Square lattice folder, dimensionals, rhinestone
