Cherish Friendship - Hand Stamped Sentiments #156

This card is for the sketch challenge with Hand Stamped Sentiments here

I stamped the image onto watercolour paper using Black Stazon, and coloured it using various coloured ink pads and a blender pen.
The Ovals Framelits were used to die cut the image, but before removing the Framelit the image was sponged with a stipple brush using Soft suede ink.  Then the outer edges of the oval were pricked with an oval template and a paper piercer.  It was matted with a Soft Suede oval.

The base of the card is Soft Suede, layered with Crumb Cake and then Comfort Cafe DSP.  A banner of contrasting Comfort Cafe DSP was placed behind the oval, which was attached using dimensionals.

All edges were sponged with Soft Suede ink.

The sentiment is from "Just Believe" and was punched out using a small oval punch.  This was layered with a Summer Starfruit Word Window punchie, and a Soft Suede 1 3/4 by 7/8" oval punchie.

Small pearls were placed in the centers of the flowers, and on either side of the sentiment.

Stamps: Cherish Friendship, Just Believe

Papers: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Comfort Cafe DSP, Watercolour paper, Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla

Quint-Essential Flower Friend Card - Hand Stamped Sentiments #155

It's been a while since I've done a colour challenge and for some reason decided to do this challenge with Hand Stamped Sentiments here
I also decided to use a stamp that I haven't used very much, as I thought it was perfect for this challenge - Quint-Essential Flower.  The colours for this challenge:  Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze, Rich Razzelberry, and any neutral.

The base of this 5 by 5" card is Rich Razzelberry, layered with Whisper White cardstock that has been embossed with one of the Delicate Designs folders.  I then attached a strip of Rich Razzelberry DSP on the left side of the Whisper White layer, and a piece of Baja Breeze seam binding just below the midpoint of the card adjacent to the bottom.

Then I started building the flower.  Two images were stamped using Rich Razzelberry ink; two with Daffodil Delight, and two with Baja Breeze.  The various colours were punched out using a variety of sizes of scallop circle and circle punches.  They were adhered on top of each other using dimensionals.  You can see the layers in the side view of the flower above.  Once completed, some dazzling details was added to each layer, and a rhinestone in the middle of the top.

The finished flower was adhered to a 2 1/2" circle of Whisper White which was layered with a 3" circle of Baja Breeze card stock.  This circle was adhered to a square of Daffodil Delight cardstock. This unit was then attached to the card as shown above.  Because I love bling, I placed some rhinestones in each corner of the Daffodil Delight square.

The sentiment is from "Just Believe".  The word "friend" was inked with a Basic Black marker, stamped onto Whisper White cardstock and punched out with a small oval punch.  The layers under the sentiment pick up the challenge colours.

Here's a summary of the stamps/materials used:

Stamps: Quint-Essential Flower, Just Believe
Inks: Rich Razzelberry, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze, Basic black marker
Papers: Rich Razzelberry, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzelberry DSP
Accessories: 2 3/8" scallop circle punch, 1 3/4" scallop circle punch, 1 1/4" scallop circle punch, 7/8" scallop circle punch, 2 1/2" circle punch, 1" circle punch, 1/2" circle punch, small oval punch, 3/4 by 15/16 oval punch, 1 3/4 by 7/8" oval punch, Word Window punch, dazzling details, rhinestones, 1/2" Baja Breeze seam binding, dimensionals, Delicate Designs folder

Sympathy & Prayers - Sketch Frenzy Friday

What a busy and hot week this has been.  Thank goodness the craft fair at Stoney Lake on Canada Day was near the water or else the stifling heat would have been unbearable!  But despite that there was a good crowd and I sold a lot of cards. The market on Tuesday was even hotter - with a humidex of over 40 degrees, but the attendance was good.
Well, today is Friday, another hot day, but time for a mini blog hop with Sketch Frenzy Friday.
Today's sketch is by Jennifer Weide.

Here's Jennifer's sketch:

The focal image was embossed directly onto designer paper using pewter embossing powder.

Stamp:  Just Believe, Petite Pairs
Inks: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Versa Mark
Papers: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Twitterpated designer paper, Gumball Green
Accessories: Pewter embossing powder, 3/8" gumball green satin stitched ribbon, designer button, white baker's twine, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch

Now it's your turn to create something using Jennifer's sketch.  When finished upload it to the SFF homepage here  Don't forget to take some time and check out how the design team did with their sketches - and leave comments.
Your next stop is Patrice's blog: http://mylittlepatchofdirt.blogspot.com

Hope you enjoyed the blog hop.  Stay well, and I'll see you next week.
