Holiday Stocking Gift Card Holder - a craft fair item

I'm involved in a reunion this weekend, but next weekend is one of the first of many major craft shows for fall and Christmas.  Last night I made some Holiday stockings using last year's Christmas designer paper and made them into gift card holders.  I made similar ones last year,  the gift card opening was in the back of the stocking.  This year I decided to have the opening for the gift card in the front stocking, just underneath the top cuff.  The top cuff comes off and exposes the gift card.

Two stockings were die cut using the Holiday Stocking die - one in Cherry Cobbler, and one in a Christmas designer paper that retired last year.  The heel, toe and top cuff were cut using silver glimmer paper. Two pieces are needed for the top cuff.
The Cherry cobbler stocking was embossed with the Starburst embossing folder.
To make the opening for the gift card in the front stocking (pattern), a word window punch was inserted about  1/4" down in the middle of the top of the stocking. This opening was extended on either side to accommodate the size of the gift card.
Both stocking pieces were not adhered together, and the heel and toe attached.  Hot glue was used to adhere 3 sides of the top piece (cuff).  After the glue was dry, the stocking was inserted into the top cuff, hiding the gift card opening.
The cuff was decorated, again, using last year's embellishments.

Holiday Stocking Gift Card Holder - Challenge 147

I made a number of these holiday stocking gift card holders for my craft sales and they have sold very well.  Stocking gift card holders seem to be the "in" thing this year. This was also one of the projects for my all day Christmas card class on November 20, and everyone loved making them.
