Yes, I was busy yesterday. I covered the journal using Flowering Fields DSP. I didn't have enough left to use the same DSP on both side, so I cut them in half, and used a half of each on both front and back. A black die cut strip was used to cover the seam.
The spine was covered with Basic Black cardstock, and a piece of clear sticky ribbon was placed along the edge of it.
On the upper Basic Black piece, a small and medium die cut butterfly was adhered. they were die cut using a piece of Flowering fields DSP.
On the lower half, The Apothecary framelits was used to die cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Using the stamp set "Big News", the sentiment was stamped on Whisper White, die cut using an oval framelit (I cut the bottom and top off), and matted with Calypso Coral Cardstock. This was added to the Apothecary die cut and then adhered to the bottom of the journal

Bohek Background
I don't know why I resisted using this beautiful artsy form of crafting for so long, but I broke down today and did it!
There are many videos and tutorial out there so I don't feel the need to make one. The one video I learned the most from is this one done by Sharon Armstrong for her On-line class.
It's a very cool background that photographers use to make parts of the background look blurry and in the distance, and other parts more sharply in focus.
Here is the first card I made:
On my watercolour paper, I applied 3 shades of blue reinkers: Marina Mist, Pacific Point, and Not Quite Navy. Then I applied the different size circles using Whisper White ink.
The stamp set is "Banner Blessings", and I applied a few In Color sequin assorted embellishments.
I matted the watercolour background with Whisper White cardstock, and attached it to a Pacific Point cardstock base.
Second Card:
This time I used the following reinkers: Garden Green, Marina Mist, and Daffodil Delight.
The stamp set again is "Banner Blessings".
This time I attached a 1/4" Daffodil Delight cotton ribbon below the sentiment before matting it with Daffodil Delight cardstock and attaching it to a Garden Green base.
Third Card:
This one became a baby card. The background was made with Crisp Cantalope and Wisteria wonder reinkers, and then the sentiment was stamped with Black Stazon. The stamp set "Big News" was used for this card. The words "Big News" was stamped separately onto Wisteria Wonder cardstock and coloured with the light shade of a Wisteria Wonder blendability. It was trimmed and made into a banner and added below the other sentiment with dimensionals.
The baby booties were stamped using Crisp Cantalope and die cut using the Coorinating framelits with the stamp set "Something for Baby". I tied a piece of Crisp Cantalope cotton twine to the booties and flipped the loose ends over the banner.
Above the sentiment I place 2 flowers, again stamped with Crisp Cantalope, using the stamp set "Something for Baby" and die cutting them with the coordinating framelits.
Along the left side, a 4" length of Wisteria wonder chevron ribbon was tied in the middle with White Baker's twine and adhered to the card with dimensionals.
The watercolour background was matted with Crisp Cantalope cardstock and added to a Whisper White card base. Then I added Dazzling Details to the sentiment.
