Birthday Wishes - Creative Sketches 31

I needed a masculine birthday card, so used the sketch challenge from Creative Challenges here to design one.

Stamps: The Open Sea, Sincere Salutations
Inks: Not Quite Navy
Papers: Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Nautical Expedition Designer Paper, Vellum
Accessories: 3/4" circle punch, 1" circle punch, 1 3/4 X 7/8" oval punch, Scallop oval punch, Dotted Scallop ribbon border punch, dimensionals

Close up of image.
I first stamped the image of the ship on Whisper White Card Stock.
Then I stamped the same image on a piece of Vellum .  I smudged some basic gray on the wrong side of the vellum and wiped most of it off with water and a paper towel.
Then I mounted the Vellum so that the ship was directly over top of the one stamped on the Whisper white.
It gives the effect of looking like the ship has been caught by bad weather.

This is a very cool effect -does remind me of a ship caught in a storm thanks for sharing

Your card is soo wonderful. I love the 'bad weather' effect you created. How clever. Thank you for playing along with us @ Creative Sketches. I hope that we see more of your work, again.
