Thoughtful Branches - Try Stampin' on Tuesday #279

Once again I find myself making a card for the challenge with Try Stampin' on Tuesday , as I do like the sketches there.  I also took it as an opportunity to use the new stamp set from SU - Thoughtful Branches.  This stamp set is so much more than I initially thought and one can make more than trees with this set.  Actually, for today's challenge I acturally make a flower.

  • The image piece is 2 1/2 by 2 1/2" of Whisper White cardstock.  The stem and leaves of the flower were stamped with Old Olive; the flower with Calypso Coral.
  • The edges of this piece were sponged with Calypso Coral ink.  It was adhered at an angle to a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2" piece of DSP from the Pretty Petals DSP stack. which is black with white dots.
  • The base of the card is Old Olive cardstock layered with Whisper White cardstock.  At the lower end is a 1 3/4 by 4" piece of mainly green DSP from the same DSP stack.
  • The two 2 1/2 by 2 1/2" pieces were adhered to the card front and DSP strip with the 1 1/4" round sentiment adhered to the bottom corner of the black DSP

 Supplies Used:
Stamp: Thoughtful Branches
Ink: Black Memento, Old Olive, Calypso Coral
DSP: Old Olive, Whisper White, Pretty Petals DSP stack
Accessories: 1 1/4" circle punch
